Tour Plan
DAY 1: Capture the moments with the Giraffes
Your photographic adventure begins as soon as you land at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where a representative from The Safari Collection will escort you to a private land cruiser for a scenic drive to Giraffe Manor.
Upon arriving at Giraffe Manor, you'll be welcomed by the resident giraffes roaming freely around the sanctuary. These wild giraffes are known for their friendly interactions with guests, offering plenty of opportunities for close-up photographs and giraffe selfies. You may also capture the playful warthogs, who often wander around eating the treats dropped by the giraffes. After lunch, you can visit the Giraffe Centre or unwind at The Retreat, enjoying the spa, pool, sauna, and hot tub.
Note: The giraffes are wild, and while they enjoy interacting, we cannot guarantee encounters at any specific time.

DAY 2, 3, and 4: Enjoy Scenic Samburu National Reserve
The second day begins with breakfast alongside the giraffes at Giraffe Manor. Afterward, you’ll be transferred to Wilson Airport for a one-hour flight to Samburu, where you’ll be taken to Sasaab, a serene oasis, just in time for lunch and a chance to photograph the surroundings.
Samburu offers a unique landscape, with hilly terrain providing stunning vistas, especially from sundowner rock as the sky turns crimson. Game drives here provide opportunities to capture the Samburu Special Five – Gravy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa Oryx – along with large elephant herds. The local Samburu community adds a fascinating cultural angle to your photography, with vibrant beadwork and warrior headdresses. You'll also have the chance to photograph members of the community, gaining an intimate look at life in the region. When not behind the camera, enjoy activities like camel rides, quad biking, or stargazing.

DAY 5 and 6: Fly to Sample Solio Conservancy
After breakfast, you’ll take a 20-minute private flight to Solio Airstrip, followed by a transfer to Solio Lodge, the only lodge in the Solio Conservancy.
Continue honing your photography skills under the expert guidance of Robin Moore at Solio Lodge. Set against the backdrop of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountain Range, the lodge offers unique opportunities to photograph rhinos in their natural habitat. Solio is a renowned rhino breeding sanctuary, home to over 200 white rhinos and 100 black rhinos. The game drives can lead to spectacular sightings of large groups, offering unmatched photo opportunities. You'll also capture other wildlife, including big cats, plains game, and vibrant bird species. Additional excursions include trips to the Aberdare Mountains or unforgettable helicopter flights over Mount Kenya for aerial shots of the rugged terrain and wildlife, including pink flamingos on Kenya’s lakes.

DAY 7: Fly back to Nairobi
After a leisurely breakfast at Solio Lodge, take a short flight back to Nairobi, arriving in time for your international departure from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
If time permits, enjoy the tranquil surroundings of The Retreat at Giraffe Manor, with access to the spa, gym, and pool. Once home, you'll have the chance to relive your safari, editing your incredible photos and selecting your favorites to remember the journey.
